ResearchWize extracts text from webpages and PDFs (including scanned via OCR) and uses AI to generate summaries, outlines, quizzes, flashcards, and slides. Only short, relevant snippets are sent securely; your full documents and saved work stay on-device.
We use OpenAI’s latest small-model class (e.g., GPT-4.1 mini) and upgrade over time so you automatically benefit from improvements.
- Use Chrome or Edge: Make sure your browser is up to date.
- Visit the Extension Store: Open our store page below or search “ResearchWize”.
- Click “Add to Browser”: Follow the prompts and pin the extension.
All your summaries, outlines, and saved projects remain stored locally in your browser. We never upload your projects to our servers.
Only short, relevant text snippets are sent securely to our AI API for processing. No long documents or personal data are stored in the cloud.
We process large PDFs/DOCX locally in chunks. OCR is applied automatically for scanned files before summarization.

ResearchWize is optimized for desktop Chrome and Edge. Mobile/tablet support is on our roadmap.
During trial and early use, limits are generous. Later, fair-use caps may apply by plan.
We’re local-first. Any minimal snippets sent for AI processing are transmitted over encrypted connections, and we don’t store your content.
