ResearchWize (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to our website, the ResearchWize browser extensions, the ResearchWize web app, and related services (“Services”).

Account and Subscription
- Email address and account details you provide.
- Subscription and billing metadata handled securely by payment providers. We do not store full card numbers.
Content You Process
- Webpages, PDFs, DOCX files, and other content you submit for summaries or study tools.
- OCR text extracted from scanned documents when applicable.
Usage and Technical Data
- Browser type, product version, and diagnostic logs.
- Feature usage events and anonymized identifiers used to understand product activity and improve the service.

5. Security and Retention
We use industry-standard safeguards such as encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information responsibly.
- Projects and saved summaries remain until you delete them or until account settings change.
- Temporary uploads may be deleted shortly after processing if they are not saved.
- Billing records are retained as required by law.
6. Your Rights
You can delete saved projects at any time. You may also unsubscribe from marketing emails, adjust cookie settings through your browser, or contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your data where applicable by law, including under GDPR, CCPA, or PIPEDA.
7. Children’s Privacy
ResearchWize is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will review the request for removal.
8. Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in features, providers, or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with an updated effective date when appropriate.
